COVID-19 Impact on Veterans Success Center

For COVID-19 updates please monitor our website and social media regarding our services.

The Veterans Success Center is open to walk-in traffic.

GI Bill Benefit Impact due to COVID-19:

On Saturday, March 21, 2020, the President signed into law S. 3503, which clarifies how the Department of Veterans Affairs should treat in-person courses of study that convert to distance learning formats due to health-related situations and other emergencies. If your class was originally scheduled to be an in-person then your benefit payments will not change due to the change in mode of instruction to online due to COVID-19. This law has been extended until December 2021.

Active Duty Withdraw due to COVID-19:

If you are mobilized, called to active duty, or experience a significant change of mission or operational tempo due to COVID-19 and need to withdraw from classes there are numerous options available to you. To help you understand your options please contact the Veterans Success Center at dogtags@purdue.edu.

If you have questions regarding Tuition Assistance, please contact your service branch’s education office.

If you are a military-connected student and have questions about the State of Indiana's Child of a Disabled Veteran/Purple Heart benefit or questions about your aid package, please make an appointment with Allison Staley via BoilerConnect.
