Register Now for the 2017 Purdue Veterinary Conference!
June 23, 2017
It's that time of year! Registration is now open for the 2017 Purdue Veterinary Conference, Purdue Veterinary Medicine's annual event that provides continuing education (CE) opportunities for the entire veterinary team. The 2017 schedule features general education sessions including avian and emergency preparedness tracks, as well as tracks for bovine, equine, shelter medicine, small animal, swine, and topics of particular interest for veterinary technicians. Veterinarians and veterinary technicians also will have the chance to get hands-on training through workshops and labs focusing on avian procedures, bovine reproduction, clinical pathology, radiology, and a vet tech specialty lab on ultrasound. Some of the workshops and labs have a limited number of available spaces, so be sure to sign up soon! All conference sessions and special events will be held on Purdue's West Lafayette campus. The Purdue Veterinary Conference wouldn't be complete without a host of associated special events and lectures. The Elanco Human-Animal Bond Lecture will be held Tuesday, September 19. Presented by Dr. Libby Richards, Purdue assistant professor of nursing, and Dr. Niwako Ogata, PVM assistant professor of animal behavior, the lecture is free and open to the public. Additionally, you can register for special events like the Awards Celebration Dinner on Wednesday, September 20, when you can join in the recognition of PVM's tremendous alumni and faculty. The dinner also gives Dean's Club members an opportunity to celebrate how their support promotes the College's success. As part of PVM's homecoming, the College also will recognize members of the DVM Class of 1967 as they celebrate their Golden Anniversary at the Meet Me @ the Mixer event on Thursday, September 21. Graduates of the classes of 1972, 1977, 1982, 1987, 1992, 1997, 2002, 2007, and 2012 are also celebrating reunion years.
