The Purdue Veterinary Medicine family marked the official start of the College of Veterinary Medicine’s United Way Campaign Wednesday, September 12, with a celebration by the Continuum sculpture.  The event included the Corn Hole Championship Games and free popcorn.  Congratulations to the winning Corn Hole team of account clerks Lisa Wright and Zach Wise, who coined the team name “Strictly Business.”  The “Corn Stars” team of Andrea Brown, lifelong learning director, and Osmar Lopez, senior web developer, came in second.  Several event attendees also won prizes.  Special thanks to PVM’s United Way Committee of Andi Waibel, chair, and Barb Cochran, Julie Lewellen, Brittany Vale, Jesse Mabbitt for doing a great job organizing the celebration as well as many other events this fall to support the College’s United Way Campaign.

Upcoming fundraising events include two more Ice Cream Fridays – TODAY from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m., adjacent to the staircase inside the main east entrance to Lynn Hall, and then again on September 29.  Other plans include a Historic Purdue Walking Tour on September 26 – $5 for admission; and “Dining for Dollars,” in which the Continuum Café is participating, September 17 – 28.
