We’ve all heard the saying “dog is a man’s best friend” but what does science say about our bond with animals? Studies show that our pets and service animals can increase connection between humans by improving mental, social and emotional functioning. In this episode, Kerri Rodriguez, a Ph.D. candidate at the Purdue University Center for Human-Animal Bond, discusses the health benefits of companion animals.
