Office for Diversity and Inclusion

2017 Recipient of Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award

Unity in Diversity
The Purdue Veterinary Medicine Office for Diversity and Inclusion works to broaden individual and collective understanding of and appreciation for diversity, cultural competence, and inclusive excellence within the College of Veterinary Medicine. Our faculty, staff and students are encouraged to increase cultural competence through curricular and co-curricular activities, as well as professional advancement opportunities. We aim to increase students' knowledge of issues pertaining to a diverse society and enable them to thrive in an inclusive environment. Our overarching goal is to lead by example, providing students with an idea of how to respond to multiple layers of diversity issues specific to the veterinary medical profession.
