Cost of Clinical Trials

Participation of animal patients in a clinical trial does not increase the owner's cost for the care of their animal. In many studies, cost for specific diagnostics, treatments and drugs may be subsidized by the study. Information about the incentives of studies can be found under the veterinary clinical trials announcements on this website.

In general, our veterinary clinical trials are funded by research foundations, pharmaceutical and medical device companies, or the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine and the Veterinary Teaching Hospital.

Animal owners also can help funding of clinical trials by making a donation to our research programs. Donations can be made in support of clinical trials or to specific research programs. You can make your gift in the following ways:

By Mail – make check payable to Purdue Foundation, in the memo line indicate "Veterinary Clinical Trials" or the research program of your choice and mail to the address:
