Indy Audio Labs hires sales, distribution representatives

INDIANAPOLIS - Entertainment electronics enthusiasts and professional installers are one step closer to purchasing Aragon and Acurus products after the Indiana manufacturer selected sales and distribution professionals for the high-end brands.

Officials at Indy Audio Labs LLC, a Westfield company that develops and markets the brands, announced the hiring of Bruce Borenstein as acting vice president, North American Sales. They also named American Tradco LLC as their manufacturer's representative for international markets.

Borenstein has more than 30 years of experience in consumer electronics and technology. His professional positions range from sales and executive management to business consulting. He previously was the executive vice president of the Neat Company in Philadelphia.

"Bruce brings an ideal combination of direct experience with ground-up establishment of distribution along with a deep understanding and involvement in the consumer electronics industry. I am confident that Bruce will help us find the right channel partners to successfully relaunch Aragon and Acurus in 2010," said Rick Santiago, CEO and co-founder of Indy Audio Labs, an affiliate of the Purdue Research Park at AmeriPlex-Indianapolis.

Santiago explained how American Tradco will assist the firm.

"Since acquiring the brands in 2009, Indy Audio Labs has received several international inquiries and interest in the relaunch of Aragon and Acurus," he said. "Sheldon Combs and American Tradco have long-established relationships with some of the best A/V distributors and retailers around the globe. Sheldon is successful because he takes time to understand the needs of his customers and, in doing so, develops strong relationships. American Tradco is ideally suited to help us serve our international customers most effectively in this critical season of returning to market with Aragon and Acurus."

Ted Moore, Indy Audio Labs COO and co-founder, spoke about Indy Audio Labs' 2010 product launches.

"Our 2010 product lineup is designed to continue the Aragon and Acurus brand legacy by providing our customers with the reliability, performance and value they've come to expect along with cutting-edge capabilities not typically found in this class of product," he said.

Indy Audio Labs will provide an invitation-only preview of its new product lineup at the 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas from Jan. 7-10.
