College of Technology at Lafayette plans back-to-school event

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue University's College of Technology at Lafayette will offer information to prospective students during a back-to-school program Monday (Aug. 10).

The event, which will be from 2:30-7 p.m., will be at the Lafayette location at Subaru of Indiana Automotive Inc.'s training center on Indiana 38.

Purdue College of Technology staff will be available to discuss degrees offered at the location and how to enroll and will have information on scholarships and free tutoring services.

"We want to let the Lafayette community know about the many degree options we provide here at the Lafayette location," said assistant location director Michele Summers. "A lot of people don't know about us, so we want to get the word out to anyone considering Purdue, and especially to nontraditional students who work full-time, that we have a variety of programs to meet their needs."

The back-to-school event also will include free food and door prizes.

The College of Technology at Lafayette offers certificate programs, associate degrees and bachelor's degrees in industrial technology and organizational leadership and supervision. Several courses are offered in the evenings and via distance learning.

Registration is still open for fall semester classes that begin on Aug. 24. For more information or to register, call the College of Technology at Lafayette at 765-496-6886. Information also is available online at https://www.tech.purdue.edu/lafayette/
