Purdue Consumer and Family Sciences names outstanding seniors

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue University's College of Consumer and Family Sciences' Alumni Association named five students as this year's outstanding senior award winners.

The alumni group recognizes one graduating senior from each department with academic credentials that demonstrate leadership in their field of study. A committee of faculty members chose the award recipients.

The seniors were honored at a dinner last month, where they each received a cash prize and a pen desk set. The award recipients also will be recognized on a plaque in Stone Hall.

The College of Consumer and Family Sciences awards degrees in five fields of study: child development and family studies, consumer sciences and retailing, foods and nutrition, hospitality and tourism management, and family and consumer sciences education.

 The award recipients include:

Leslie Henderson, Schererville, Ind., Outstanding Senior/Family and Consumer Sciences Education

Amy Conklin, Fairborn, Ohio, Outstanding Senior/Foods and Nutrition
