May 4, 2009 Purdue commencement ceremonies to be shown live on TV, onlineWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue University's four commencement ceremonies from May 15-17 will be broadcast live for television and Internet audiences.Each of the ceremonies will be shown on Comcast cable Channel 5, Purdue's educational access channel, and BoilerTV channel 13. The ceremonies also will be shown live via Webcast at mms://video.dis.purdue.edu/graduation Ceremonies for the West Lafayette campus are scheduled for 8 p.m. May 15; 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. May 16; and 9:30 a.m. May 17 in Elliott Hall of Music. The May 15 ceremony is for students in liberal arts and science. On May 16, the 9:30 a.m. ceremony is for students in education, engineering and veterinary medicine; and the 2:30 p.m. ceremony is for students in agriculture, consumer and family sciences, and pharmacy, nursing and health sciences. The May 17 ceremony is for students in management and technology. Purdue President France A. Córdova will address graduates during the ceremonies. There are 5,792 candidates for degrees. To watch the ceremonies online, viewers must have Windows Media Player installed on their computers. It can be downloaded for free at https://www.Microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/ Commencement videos will be available. A DVD costs $30, and order forms are available at Stewart Center's Loeb Playhouse box office or by calling 765-494-3933. Order forms can be submitted both before and after the ceremony.
