Fats Waller Broadway musical 'Ain't Misbehavin'' comes to Purdue

The performance, which is presented by Purdue Convocations, stars 2003 "American Idol" winner Ruben Studdard and Frenchie Davis, a 2003 "American Idol" contestant and star of "Rent" on Broadway.
The comic and musical soul of 1930s Harlem is showcased in this revue that is considered by many to be one of Broadway's most well-crafted shows, said Abby Eddy, director of marketing for Purdue Convocations.
She said the show mixes sassy and sultry moments with classic tunes including "Ain't Misbehavin,'" "Honeysuckle Rose" and "Your Feets Too Big," composed by swing jazz composer and pianist Fats Waller. Author and director Richard Maltby Jr. also recreated his original Tony Award-winning direction for this tour.
Tickets are $20-$45 for adults and $20-$32 for children 18 and younger, Purdue students and Ivy Tech Lafayette students.
