Study to examine carotenoid absorption from vegetables

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Adults ages 18-50 are needed for a Purdue University study on carotenoid absorption from vegetables.

Participants in the 66-day study conducted by professor Wayne Campbell in Purdue's Department of Foods and Nutrition will be asked to consume a controlled diet for three 7-day periods. They also will complete three days of testing that will take about 12 hours each at Purdue's Stone Hall.

Participants' measurements, including blood carotenoid levels and cholesterol levels, will be taken.

Compensation for completing the study is $500.
