Corporate governance and financial crisis topic of Krannert faculty panel

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - A Krannert faculty panel will discuss corporate governance and the financial crisis Friday (Feb. 13) in Stewart Center's Fowler Hall.

The forum, which will be from 9-10:30 a.m., will provide an update on the current economic situation. It is free and open to the public.

Panelists include:

* David Denis, a professor of finance and the Burton Morgan Chair of Private Enterprise. He teaches the MBA elective course in venture capital and investment banking. He has been published extensively on the topic of corporate governance.

* Kevin Mumford, an assistant professor of economics. He does research in public finance and labor economics.

* Mark Bagnoli, a professor and Olson Chair of Management. He teaches MBA electives in tax strategy and financial statement analysis.

* Deidra Schleicher, an associate professor of management and a university faculty scholar. She teaches several courses in organizational behavior and human resources. Her research focuses on the effective management of human capital in organizations.

* Jerry Lynch, a professor of economics and academic director of full-time masters programs at Krannert. He does research in monetary theory and policy, macroeconomics, and international trade and finance.
