Medieval Theatre Dinner to take place at Purdue Memorial Union

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue Student Union Board will host a Medieval Dinner Theatre on Feb. 14 at the North Ballroom of the Purdue Memorial Union.

The event includes a sit-down three-course dinner during which students will perform a play called "A Tale of Two Jesters," set in medieval times. It begins at 7 p.m.

Guests will be served medieval cuisine such as herb roasted chicken, shepherd's pie, curried sweet potato soup, garlic bread and baked apples. Attendees are welcome to dress in medieval costume.

"Purdue students come from all over the world, but I think it's easy to assume we all like to laugh and eat good food," said Klimentina Markoski, director of the Fine Arts Committee that is arranging the event. "This is a fun event showcasing student talent, and it provides the opportunity to do both of those things."

The Medieval Dinner Theatre is a modified version of the annual Mystery Dinner Theatre, which has been taking place for many years, Markoski said.

"This year, we did the modification to bring a new event to the students," she said.

Admission to the medieval dinner theatre is $25 for students, and $35 for the general public.

Tickets may be purchased at the Purdue Memorial Union, Room 268, or by calling 765-494-8976.
