December 4, 2008 Open house Dec. 16 for Purdue students at Wabash NationalWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue College of Technology at Lafayette will hold a holiday open house Dec. 16 for current and prospective students taking Purdue courses on-site at Wabash National Corp.The open house will be 4-6 p.m. at the Wabash National Learning Center, 1000 Sagamore Parkway S. in Lafayette. Families of the approximately 80 Wabash National associates taking Purdue courses on-site are welcome to attend. Also, those working at Wabash National who are interested in learning more about the degree programs can attend and meet with faculty and student services staff. Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP to techlafayette@purdue.edu or (765) 496-6886. The College of Technology at Lafayette offers certificates and associate degrees in organizational leadership and supervision through the program that allows employees of Wabash National to attend courses at their work site and is tailored to fit their work schedules. Michele Summers, assistant director of the Lafayette location, said there are future plans to offer employees at Wabash National a bachelor's degree option in organizational leadership and supervision. The College of Technology at Lafayette offers certificate programs, associate degrees and bachelor's degrees in industrial technology and organizational leadership and supervision at the location at the Subaru of Indiana Automotive Inc. facility on Indiana 38. Several courses are offered in the evenings and via distance learning.
