Financial aid presentations to offer information for students, parents

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - High school students and their parents can learn more about college financial aid during two upcoming presentations by Purdue's Division of Financial Aid and the Ivy Tech Community College Lafayette financial aid office.

The presentations will be offered at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 10 and Jan. 13 at the Ivy Tech Community College Auditorium, 3101 S. Creasy Lane, Lafayette. The Indiana Student Financial Aid Association is sponsoring the presentations.

The two programs, which will be the same both evenings, will begin with a short overview of financial aid basics. After a break, students and parents will hear details about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid process.

Parents and students also are invited to attend College Goal Sunday at 2 p.m. Feb. 15 at the Ivy Tech Community College auditorium. During the event, financial aid counselors will be available to help families fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and answer any additional financial aid questions they have.
