Teaching and Learning with Technology Conference proposals due Jan. 19

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Information Technology at Purdue's Teaching and Learning Technologies unit is seeking proposals for 45-minute presentations, panel discussions and point-counterpoint discussions for a conference themed "Changing the Learning Landscape."

The deadline for submitting proposals is Jan. 19.

The conference is scheduled for April 21-22 in Stewart Center on campus. Presenters and attendees pay a registration fee of $50, which includes two lunches.

The conference, which is open to anyone interested in instructional technology, will feature Sarah Robbins of intellagirl.com as keynote speaker. Robbins is a researcher, writer and speaker who studies and reports on pedagogical uses of Second Life, virtual worlds, Web 2.0 and other emerging technologies.

Faculty in higher education, P-12 teachers and information technology professionals can submit proposals. Targeted topics include gaming and immersive environments, technology-mediated feedback, student success and achievement, adapting learning spaces and online learning in the P-12 classroom.
