October 13, 2008 Purdue Bands' 'Creepy Classics' to mix costumes, musicWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Audience members are invited to wear costumes to Purdue Symphony Orchestra's annual Halloween family pops concert, "Creepy Classics," which will take place at 2:30 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 19).The concert will be in the Long Center for Performing Arts, 111 N. Sixth St., Lafayette. The concert is free and open to the public. The sixth annual concert will feature the Purdue Symphony Orchestra and the Purdue Philharmonic Orchestra. The two groups will perform a variety of songs, from short works by Mozart to music from television shows and movie soundtracks. At the end of the concert, children in costume from the audience will have a chance to participate in a Halloween parade. The children will cross the stage and receive a treat bag from orchestra director Andrew King.
