Purdue announces students named to 2008 Homecoming Court
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue University has announced the names of the students who will serve on the court for the 2008 Homecoming celebration Oct. 20-25.This year's Homecoming theme is "Purdue Sports Classics."
The Purdue students were selected based on their resumes, academic achievements, extracurricular activities, community involvement and submitted essays.
The 14 members of the court will participate in a variety of activities and events throughout the Homecoming celebration, including a service project, parade, pep rally, interviews and the half-time ceremony at Purdue's football game against visiting Minnesota.
A king and queen will be selected from the court based on several factors, including formal interviews by a panel of judges composed of faculty, staff and students; online student voting; and appearances at events within the campus and community.
