Consumers and Technology Symposium Oct. 10 at Burton Morgan

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Effects of the information technology age on consumers will be among the topics at the Consumers and Technology Symposium on Oct. 10 at Purdue's Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship.

Technology and its influence on the service economy also will be discussed at the event, which will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The symposium is free and open to Purdue faculty and graduate students, but registration, at https://www.conf.purdue.edu/CTS , is required by Oct. 6.

The College of Consumer and Family Sciences, Discovery Park, College of Agriculture, College of Engineering, College of Science, College of Technology, Krannert School of Management and the Center for Education and Research in Information Assurance and Security are sponsoring the event.

There is a poster session, with three prizes of $500, $250 and $100, for graduate students of the sponsoring units. Contact wailor@purdue.edu  to register for the poster session.

The keynote speaker will be A. Parasuraman, vice dean of faculty and the James W. McLamore Chair in Marketing and professor of marketing at the University of Miami.
