August 28, 2008 Tickets for James Earl Jones no longer availableWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Tickets are no longer available for James Earl Jones' Oct. 2 talk at Purdue University.The free tickets for an "Evening with James Earl Jones" were available to Purdue faculty, staff and students on Thursday (Aug. 28) and were picked up on a first-come basis. The talk is part of Experience Liberal Arts, a monthlong celebration highlighting programs in the College of Liberal Arts. Any returned tickets or tickets not picked up by 7:15 p.m. on Oct. 2 will be released to the public at the Stewart Center Box Office. Any released tickets will be distributed on a first-come basis. The instantly recognizable voice featured on CNN, Jones has appeared on stage, television and movies in performances such as Mufasa in "The Lion King" and Darth Vader in "Star Wars," as well as "Field of Dreams," "Patriot Games" and "The Hunt for Red October." Experience Liberal Arts month will feature a variety of lectures, films, performances, events and exhibits that reflect the college's ongoing coursework and research in the arts, humanities, and social and behavioral sciences.
