Activities Bonanza to feature variety of student organizations

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue students will be able to learn about some of the more than 840 student organizations on campus during an upcoming fair.

The Activities Bonanza will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 28) between the Purdue Memorial Union and Stewart Center. Purdue Student Union Board is sponsoring the event.

The annual offering will feature a wide variety of student organizations, and students will have a chance to learn about and join groups. Some organizations will perform demonstrations throughout the afternoon. A list of organizations participating in the Activities Bonanza is available at https://www.union.purdue.edu/HTML/PSUB/

The Activities Bonanza also gives student organizations a way to advertise their missions and increase their membership, said Jena Naylor, director of special events for the Purdue Student Union Board.

Student organizations interested in participating in the Activities Bonanza must register by 5 p.m. Tuesday (Aug. 26). Groups registering after Aug. 26 will have to pay a $10 late fee. Groups can register by visiting the Purdue Student Union Board office in Purdue Memorial Union, Room 268. Registration is $20 per student organization.

In the case of rain, the Activities Bonanza will take place 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday (Aug. 29).
