August 14, 2008 Purdue to offer orientation for beginning, transfer adult studentsWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue's Span Plan Adult Student Services will offer an orientation session on Monday (Aug. 18) for beginning and transfer adult, nontraditional students.The orientation will take place at 5:30 p.m. in Schleman Hall, Room 112 A panel of current adult students at Purdue will be on hand to share their experiences and answer questions from incoming students. Representatives from the Span Plan Adult Student Services program will give an overview of services aimed at adult students on campus and other important campus resources. Attendees also will receive an orientation packet. Adult students interested in attending the program should RSVP by noon Monday (Aug. 18) to (765) 494-1257 or spanplan@purdue.edu. Along with the orientation program, the Span Plan offers adult, nontraditional students academic, career and personal counseling; free tutoring; grants and scholarships to qualified adult learners; Lunch 'N Learn Programs; and career and job search services.
