Purdue Alumni Association offers camaraderie, sightseeing in 2009

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue Alumni Association has announced its 2009 travel tour schedule. Trips to more than 40 locales across the globe are planned from January through November.

Both national and international locations are offered throughout the year, with trips designed to appeal to a wide range of tastes and budgets, said Kirk Cerny, executive director and chief executive officer of the alumni association.

"We have some longer tours that offer once in a lifetime chances to see remote and exotic destinations," Cerny said. "Other tours are shorter and tailored more toward the budget-conscious consumer. The greatest benefit for most travelers is the ability to travel with a group of Purdue alumni and friends."

At least one member of a traveling party must be a member of the Purdue Alumni Association. Annual membership costs $50 and is open to alumni as well as the general public.
