April 16, 2008 Purdue Greek system to hold awards receptionWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The 14th annual Purdue Greek Awards Reception will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesday (April 22) in the Shively Club of Ross-Ade Pavilion.The event, which is open to Purdue students involved in the Greek system, recognizes leaders in the fraternity and sorority community for their hard work throughout the year. Dress attire for the event is business formal. Pris Gerde, former national president of Kappa Kappa Gamma, and Chris Foster, Purdue first gentleman and member of Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity, will speak at the event. "It is truly an honor to have Pris and Chris speak at the Greek Awards Reception because their success is a great example for our community," said Lindsay Morgeson, director of scholastic and chapter development for the Panhellenic Association. The Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Association, Gamma Sigma Alpha, Gimlet and Order of Omega are sponsoring the event.
