Public meeting to address master planning process

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue University's master planning consultants will provide an update on the status of the West Lafayette campus master planning process during a meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday (March 18).

The meeting, in Stewart Center, Room 314, is open to the public.

At the meeting, Sasaki Associates of Watertown, Mass., and Scholer Corp. of Lafayette will present a progress update on Phase Three (master plan and implementation). Phase One (campus inventory and analysis) and Phase Two (campus alternatives) of the three-phase process were completed last spring and fall, respectively.

The third and final phase of the master plan process is expected to be complete in fall 2008.

The updated master plan will encourage sustainable and accessible design; strengthen pedestrian orientation; enhance the campus landscape; accommodate parking needs; and anticipate, plan for and guide campus growth and development.
