Mystery Dinner Theatre to offer whodunit for amateur sleuths

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue Student Union Board will give wannabe detectives a chance to solve a murder during the upcoming Mystery Dinner Theatre on Feb. 14-16.

Tickets will go on sale Monday (Jan. 7) for the interactive play, "Boardwalk Melody Hour Murders," which will be performed in the Purdue Memorial Union Faculty Lounges.

Performances will be at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 14-16. Tickets to the play, which include catered dinner, cost $25 for students with a Purdue ID and $35 for the general public.

The play takes place in 1933 while Prohibition is in full swing. A group of people is gathered at the Imperial Ballroom in Atlantic City, N.J., listening to a radio show when a baby is snatched, a prisoner escapes from prison and a government representative arrives disguised as a nun. The audience will use clues presented throughout the course of the mystery to figure out the culprit and motive.

Tickets can be purchased in Purdue Memorial Union, Room 268, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday through Feb. 8. For information, call (765) 494-8976.
