Purdue students earn liberal arts scholarships
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - More than 70 students in Purdue University's College of Liberal Arts were awarded scholarships for the 2007-08 academic year.With more than 6,400 undergraduate students at the West Lafayette campus, the College of Liberal Arts is one of Purdue's largest colleges. It encompasses 11 academic departments: communication; English; foreign languages and literatures; health and kinesiology; history; philosophy; political science; psychological sciences; sociology and anthropology; speech, language and hearing sciences; and visual and performing arts. The college also is home to 13 interdisciplinary programs, such as Asian, African-American, religious and women's studies.
