Financial aid presentations to offer information for students, parents

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - High school students and their parents can learn more about college financial aid during two upcoming presentations by financial aid representatives of Purdue University and Ivy Tech Community College in Lafayette.

The presentations will be offered at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 5 and Jan. 15 at the Ivy Tech Community College Auditorium, 3101 S. Creasy Lane, Lafayette. The Indiana Student Financial Aid Association is sponsoring the presentations.

The presentations, which will be the same both evenings, will begin with a short overview of financial aid basics. After a break, students and parents will hear details about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA, process.

Parents and students also can attend College Goal Sunday on Feb. 17 at Ivy Tech Community College. Starting at 2 p.m., financial aid counselors will be available to help families fill out the financial aid application and answer questions about financial aid.
