"Grupo Fantasma has made exciting strides in their musical careers since last year, and we're excited to watch their progress as they make their third appearance at Purdue," said Maricela Alvarado, director of the Latino Cultural Center. "Their presence serves to bring our students together with the entire greater Lafayette community to appreciate our culture and celebrate the future of Latino music." The 11-man group was named best Latin contemporary band five times at the Austin Music Awards.
