April 2, 2007 Jischke to discuss safety at PurdueWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue President Martin C. Jischke on Wednesday (April 4) will discuss campus safety and security.From 2-3 p.m. during WBAA radio's live call-in show "AM 920 Magazine," Jischke will field questions from host David Bunte and the listening audience Jischke will detail the role of the Purdue Police Department and the importance of programs such as campus Safety Awareness Week, the student security escort service and Alcohol Student Awareness Program. "We can be very pleased with many positive aspects of this campus community as an overall safe and wonderful place to live," Bunte said. "However, we must keep in mind that we are not immune from some of the problems that beset the remainder of the country." To ask questions, local listeners can call (765) 496-1999.
