Host of Fox News Channel program to speak at Purdue

The 7 p.m. talk in Stewart Center's Fowler Hall is free and open to the public. Kasich's presentation is sponsored by the Krannert School of Management and the College of Education's James F. Ackerman Center for Democratic Citizenship with support from the Purdue Employees Federal Credit Union.
Named one of Newsweek magazine's "100 People for the 21st Century," Kasich was a nine-term congressman from Ohio. He was elected to the Ohio State Senate at age 26 and to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1982 at age 30.
Now a business leader, media personality, author and speaker, Kasich serves as an investment banker on Wall Street. As host of "Heartland with John Kasich," he takes a weekly look at news from around the nation and world. He also substitutes as host for "The O'Reilly Factor" and is a contributor to other Fox News shows.
Additionally, Kasich is a two-time New York Times best-selling author. His book "Courage is Contagious" highlights ordinary Americans who have made a difference for their communities and country. "Stand for Something: The Battle for America's Soul" is a book about what he calls "the erosion of the long-standing, hard-earned values upon which our nation is built."
The Purdue Series on Corporate Citizenship and Ethics began in 2003.
