This week's 'Thumbs Up' recipients

"Thumbs Up" gives faculty and staff the chance to recognize others on campus for a job well done.

This week's "Thumbs Up" go to:

Donna Young: Donna Young, administrative assistant in the Research Office of the College of Engineering, is my nominee for the "Thumbs Up" award. Donna is always willing to help others when extra help is needed to complete projects of any kind. Just this past week, she eagerly pitched in to help me with several projects. She consistently goes the extra mile. -- Judy Russell

Purdue Musical Organizations staff and students: I would like to give a huge "Thumbs Up" to Purdue Musical Organizations staff and students for an amazing 2009 Christmas Show. The staff developed a wonderful storyline, and the students provided four powerful performances. Thank you for your passion and dedication. -- Kent Shoults

PFSB supervisors and crew chiefs: I would like thank Dave Burford, Mike Dexter, Dan Dunbar, Ron Mundell, Steve Fader, Brian Wallar, Jeff Cooper, Randy Conwell, and Rick Carter for making my transition into my new position as supervisor of the Plumbing, Steam, and Refrigeration Central Shops an easy one. I am amazed with the willingness to help in any and all situations that arise on a day to day basis. Thank you and a "Thumbs Up" for making me feel welcome. -- Patrick McFadden

Student Services Technology & Assessment workstation technology staff: I'd like to give a huge "Thumbs Up" to the Student Services Technology & Assessment workstation technology staff of Barb Steinmetz, Andy Bowen, Kevin Doerr, Jeff Duncan, Susie Kirts, Paul Targett, Sherry Ward and Stacey Wuthrich. They have provided desktop support to their Student Services users at an extremely high rating all year long with an average rating of 4.90 on a 5.00 scale. Submissions for "Thumbs Up" should include the names of the employee and the nominator, and describe why the person should receive a "Thumbs Up."

Submissions should be 150 words or less. Purdue Today reserves the right to edit submissions for grammar, length and clarity before publication.

A list of "Thumbs Up" recipients will be included each Monday in Purdue Today. Submissions will be spread throughout the semester.
