Summit to assist work on building emergency plans

Employees involved in developing or revising their building's emergency plan are welcome at an update/planning meeting Wednesday (Jan. 6).

The Emergency Preparedness and Planning Office is hosting the third annual Building Emergency Plan Development Summit at 1-3 p.m. in Room 1010, Neil Armstrong Hall.

The summit is composed of a severe weather update, Purdue University Storm Ready certification to include a NOAA weather radio discussion, and a BEP update presentation. The objectives are to provide assistance and direction to BEP developers.
All Purdue buildings are required to have a building emergency plan. The plan should be reviewed and updated annually.

The event's planners recommend that all BEP developers attend the meeting to review the BEP format, discuss new information and provide any feedback on the overall process.

Those expecting to attend should RSVP to Ron Wright at rdwright@purdue.edu. For questions, contact Wright by e-mail or by phone at 49-40446.
