November 19, 2009 "Boiler Bytes 5" to debut
"Boiler Bytes 5," a 30-minute video news magazine produced by Purdue, will premiere on the Big Ten Network at 10:30 a.m. Thursday (Nov. 19). The program, which has Purdue students as host and reporters, has five featured segments on these topics: * Purdue's involvement in Vortex 2, a program designed to study how tornadoes originate. * The Purdue Alumni Student Experience cornhole tournament, benefiting Food Finders Food Bank in Lafayette. * An inside look at students in the athletic training education program. * Purdue alumnus Andrew Feustel's work in repairing the Hubble Space Telescope. * The seventh annual Dia de los Muertos celebration, hosted by the Latino Cultural Center.
