November 2, 2009 ADVANCE-Purdue to host research open houseThe ADVANCE-Purdue research team will hold an open house from 4 to 6 p.m. Nov. 9 in Room 214 C-D, Stewart Center. The open house will feature short presentations and discussions about current research projects and how they will help to improve Purdue's climate for science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and agriculture faculty. Afternoon snacks will be provided. ADVANCE-Purdue is a national program developed to increase the number and diversity of successful women faculty members in the STEM disciplines (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). At Purdue, this includes departments in the colleges of Science, Technology, Engineering and Agriculture, and the schools of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. A $3.92 million National Science Foundation grant supports the program, as well as the Center for Faculty Success, housed in Discovery Park's Discovery Learning Research Center.
