-- Women's Studies Film Festival. Theme: "Iraq and Afghanistan: Women and the War on Terror." Women's Studies Program, others. Event 4 of 4 weekly events: "Enemies of Happiness" (2006, documentary, 59 min.). About Afghan woman seeking seat in parliament. --Exhibition: "Hard Rain: The Late Works of Mary Hambleton." Purdue University Galleries. Paintings chronicling artist's journey of living with cancer; exhibition in collaboration with Purdue Oncological Sciences Center's annual "Cancer, Culture and Community" events. Stewart Center Gallery. Hours: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Saturday, plus until 8 p.m. Thursday; 1-5 p.m. Sunday. Through Dec. 6. -- Exhibition: "Purdue's Place in Space: From the Midwest to the Moon."  Libraries Archives and Special Collections. Includes items from Neil Armstrong, Eugene Cernan and other Purdue astronaut alumni in celebration of 40 years since the first moon landing. 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. -- Art education exhibition: "Envision/Revisit." Works by students and alumni in art education major. Patti and Rusty Rueff Galleries, Pao Hall. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Through Friday (Oct. 30).  In conjunction with exhibition: Lecture by alumni artist Michal Lile on "Artmaking and Teaching: A Symbiosis," 7:30-8:30 p.m. Oct. 29 in Room 1197, Pao Hall.

-- John Purdue Room Lunch Special. This week, the featured specials in the John Purdue Room are tortilla soup (soup) and chicken burritos (entrée). 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Stone Hall. TICKETS

Events are free unless noted (except that conference registrations may be omitted here). Ticket prices are for single events, not any series or discount offers. An exception to the following will be noted in the listing.

For varsity athletics tickets, call the Athletic Ticket Office, (765) 494-3194 or (800) 49-SPORT [497-7678]; or visit the office in the Intercollegiate Athletic Facility. The office is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and before ticketed events at IAF, Mackey Arena and Ross-Ade Stadium. For ticketed sports events at other Purdue venues, tickets will be on sale before the event at the venue. More at www.purduesports.com.

For Purdue Convocations and Purdue Theatre events and some others as announced, go to ticket offices in Elliott Hall (lower level, northeast end by Hovde Hall) or Stewart Center (west lobby), or call (765) 494-3933 or (800) 914-SHOW [914-7469]. The Elliott Hall box office is open 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and two hours before ticketed events there. The Stewart Center box office is open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday and two hours before ticketed events there.

Purdue Theatre tickets are sold also at the Pao Hall box office. It is open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday and two hours before ticketed events there.
