"Boiler Bytes 4" to debut

"Unfinished Block P" sculpture

"Boiler Bytes 4," a 30-minute video news magazine produced by Purdue, will premiere on the Big Ten Network at 10 a.m. Thursday (Oct. 29).

The program, which has Purdue students as host and reporters, has five featured segments on these topics:

* Painting the field at Ross-Ade Stadium, done by a stadium crew with help from students in the Department of Agronomy.

* The "Unfinished Block P" sculpture and the effort by Iron Key and others to create it.

* Purdue Pete's head and how aviation technology people make it sturdy and lightweight enough to wear.

* First Street Towers and how it is like and unlike other residence halls.

* The Compliment Guys, what they've done and what they're doing.

 

The program is scheduled for a repeat showing at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
