Session to address fundamentals of service learning
The 2009 Community of Service-Learning Faculty Fellows will present a session introducing the fundamentals of service learning on Monday (Oct. 19).
The brown-bag session will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. in Room 241, Pfendler Hall.
Service-learning definitions and concepts will be addressed by the presenters as well as their pathway to incorporating this very enriching pedagogy into their courses.
The session will feature:
* Susan Curtis, history/American studies.
* Patti Darbishire, pharmacy practice.
* Abdelfattah Nour, basic medical sciences.
* Ellen Schellhase, pharmacy practice.
* Volker Thomas, child development and family studies.
