ITaP to provide tips during National Cybersecurity Awareness Month

National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, presented at Purdue since 2006, is part of a national public awareness campaign to encourage everyone to protect their computers and the nation’s critical cyber infrastructure. ITaP's Networks and Security unit will offer tips on protecting personal information throughout October.

The first tip: Protect your personal information using WWW. Use discretion and be sure that you are comfortable with the answers to three questions before sharing information online:
    * Who is going to see it?
    * What am I sharing?
    * Why do they need it?
