Teaching Academy announces fall guest speaker
The Purdue Teaching Academy will present Patti Clayton, senior scholar for the Center for Service and Learning for Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, as its fall 2009 guest speaker.
Clayton's presentation will be from 10:20 a.m. to noon Oct. 22. An open discussion will be 1:30-3:20 p.m. Both sessions will be held in Room 206, Stewart Center.
Clayton is a renowned researcher and speaker on the use of reflection to enhance critical thinking. Her innovative approaches to teaching integrate critical thinking, reflection and assessment into traditional and service-learning courses.
