Reception to welcome information literacy chair

Campus faculty and staff are invited to attend a welcoming reception for Sharon Weiner, the W. Wayne Booker Endowed Chair in Information Literacy and professor of library science, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. today in Room B-848, Hicks Undergraduate Library.

Weiner, who previously served as the dean of library services at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, began her new appointment at Purdue on June 1. As the Booker Chair in Information Literacy, Weiner will conduct research and launch additional initiatives to increase students' ability to collect and collate information.
