Update: Traffic, parking disruptions

-- On Northwestern Avenue alongside Purdue athletic facilities, one southbound lane will be closed much or all of the time through Aug. 3. Drivers should prepare for the lane closure before or just after they cross Cherry Lane. This is for installation of a new storm sewer and the installation of structural steel related to the Mackey Arena Project. -- At First Street Towers, through Wednesday, furniture deliveries will be made. Large trucks will be parked along First Street from MacArthur Drive to Martin Jischke Drive (across from Earhart Hall). Lane restrictions are possible. Use caution and avoid this area if possible.

-- At the Materials Management and Distribution Center (MMDC) parking lot and Printing Services Facility (PRSV) employee parking lot, the lots will be closed to traffic today and through this week for excavation work. During this closure, Printing Services employees will be able to enter and exit their parking lot at a northeast corner of their lot (directly from South Russell). -- The summer cleaning schedule for parking garages has moved to the Grant Street Garage through July 29. Building Services will be cleaning the garage from 10:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. During cleaning, the garage will remain open. It will be cleaned one half at a time starting with the top three levels. … … The schedule will conclude with cleaning July 30-Aug. 11 in the north half of the Northwestern Avenue Garage. The south half of the Northwestern Avenue Garage is to remain closed for repair, including cleaning, through Aug. 2.
