CIE accepting applications for Indiana AmeriCorps* VISTA member opportunity

The Center for Instructional Excellence is announcing the opportunity for an individual to be appointed an Indiana AmeriCorps* VISTA member for this coming school year.

VISTA is a national service program dedicated to eliminating poverty by helping individuals and low-income neighborhoods make positive changes for themselves. Through VISTA, ordinary people provide extraordinary service in organizations and agencies to create and expand programs and to build permanent infrastructure that ultimately brings low-income individuals out of poverty.

The VISTA member chosen will build on service and service learning infratructure connections between Purdue and the Lafayette-West Lafayette community, as well as provide direct service to community agencies. The individual who is named to this position will report to Julie Novak, director of service learning innovation and scholarship at CIE.
