Update: Traffic, parking disruptions

Here are notes on some current and upcoming disruptions on the West Lafayette campus.

-- At the Gatewood Wing construction site alongside the Mechanical Engineering Building, for the next two weeks starting today (June 8), construction traffic will enter from Grant Street (Central Drive), just north of Grissom Hall, and will proceed between the Michael Golden Lab and Potter Engineering Center to the construction site. Construction traffic will exit the site as previously planned, past Elliott Hall of Music to Third Street. Map: www.purdue.edu/physicalfacilities/travel/pdf/Gatewood_reroute.pdf. Increased traffic to and from the work site is expected as site demolition and excavation begins. Preparation of an entry route from State Street at Marsteller Street, going past Wetherill Laboratory of Chemistry and the Bell Tower, is continuing.

-- North University Drive will close to vehicles from Stadium Avenue to Victory Drive, effective today (June 8) through June 26. Sidewalks will remain open to pedestrian traffic. Two-way access to the loading dock area at Cary Hall Southeast will be available for deliveries, refuse removal, and emergency vehicles.
