Feustel completes final spacewalk on Hubble mission

Andrew Feustel, a Purdue alumnus and NASA mission specialist, made the final spacewalk Monday (May 18) on a mission to upgrade the Hubble telescope. The shuttle, which is scheduled to land Friday (May 22), released the space telescope on Tuesday (May 19) after five days of repairs and upgrades. It is the final servicing mission to the Hubble Space Telescope, an 11-day operation designed to extend and improve the orbiting observatory's capabilities for at least another five years of research. Feustel participated in three of the mission's five spacewalks.
