May 21, 2009 Catalyst Award presentation scheduled for June 3The Catalyst Award Reception and Ceremony will be held June 3 to honor excellence in enhancing diversity and promoting an inclusive work environment. The reception will be 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the main lobby of Elliott Hall of Music. Access for persons with disabilities will be available through Hovde Hall, entering on the ground floor through the southwest door. Take the elevator to the first floor, and cross the bridge into Elliott. Jim Almond, interim executive vice president and treasurer, will present the Purdue Catalyst Award at the ceremony, which starts at 2:45 p.m. Before and after the ceremony, attendees will be able to enjoy networking and sampling desserts from around the world. On May 19, several teams made presentations about their diversity programs at the Catalyst Award Showcase. A committee evaluated those presentations and selected the winning team. The winning team will receive an emblem of the award plus $5,000 toward enhancing their diversity efforts.
