CFS sponsoring trip to Wyoming

The College of Consumer and Family Sciences is sponsoring a trip July 22-26 to eco-friendly Hotel Terra in Teton Village, Wyo.

Hotel Terra is located near the historic town of Jackson, Wyo., just one mile from the entrance to Grand Teton National Park and 90 minutes from Yellowstone National Park. The new hotel is LEED-certified by the U.S. Green Building Council. The council is a nonprofit organization composed of leaders from every sector of the building industry that works to promote buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places to live and work.

Highlights of the trip include a welcome reception and opportunity to meet Purdue interns and alumni working at the hotel; a private, guided tour of Yellowstone National Park; a culinary class with the hotel's chef using local and organic foods; a behind-the-scenes tour of the hotel; a scenic, sunrise float trip through the Grand Teton National Park on the Snake River; and time to explore Teton Village and Jackson Hole, or to play a round of golf or enjoy an afternoon at Chill Spa.

The trip is open to College of Consumer and Family Sciences alumni and friends, and all Purdue faculty, and staff.
