Update: Traffic, parking disruptions

Here are notes on some current and upcoming disruptions on the West Lafayette campus.

North University Drive and Mackey Arena area

-- For this week (May 18-22), North University Drive will close along Ross-Ade Stadium from Tower Drive to Victory Drive for the installation of a telecommunications duct bank. Neither vehicle or pedestrian traffic will be able to pass.

Northbound vehicle and pedestrian traffic will be diverted west onto Tower Drive. To reach the lot north of Ross-Ade, pedestrians will need to walk up Steven Beering Drive on the west side of the stadium. Pedestrians going to Mackey Arena, the Intercollegiate Athletic Facility or the Mollenkopf Athletic Center will be able to walk southbound on University Drive and will be diverted to the southwest corner of IAF.

The contractor also will be placing sidewalks on the north side of Lambert Fieldhouse on May 18-29. Pedestrian access to Lambert will need to enter into Mackey and use the tunnel between the two buildings. The sidewalk will reopen June 1.

In addition, the parking meters in front of IAF are expected to be unavailable May 19-29.
