Candidates for Purdue University Press director to give presentations

Three candidates for the position of director of Purdue University Press have been invited to participate in campus visits this week and next. Each candidate has been asked to give a presentation on "The Role of the University Press in Today's Scholarly Communication Environment."

Anyone interested in hearing the presentations is invited to attend.

All presentations will be given in Room B848, Hicks Undergraduate Library. The schedule for the presentations is:

* Bennett Lovett-Graff, publishing and marketing consultant and publisher of "The New Haven Review." 9:30 a.m. Tuesday (May 12).

* Elizabeth Demers, senior editor, Potomac Books Inc., and former editor-in-chief, University of Nebraska Press. 9:30 a.m. Wednesday (May 13).

* Charles Watkinson, director of publications, American School of Classical Studies at Athens. 9:30 a.m. May 18.
